Interlux Pacifica Plus is a copper-free, dual biocide antifouling paint that combines Biolux slime blocker and Econea, a metal-free antifouling agent used to prevent the growth of barnacles, zebra mussels and other aquatic organisms.
One of the huge benefits of Econea are its biodegradable degradation products are biodegradable that won't harm the marine environment. In addition Econea, unlike metal based paints, Pacifica can be used on aluminum hulls with less potential for galvanic corrosion.
This antifouling bottom paint is suited for use on all boats, including fiberglass, aluminum, wood, and steel, and is approved for use in all waters. Since the performance of the product is directly related to the amount of paint applied (thin film thickness could lead to premature fouling), Interlux recommends applying a 2 coat minimum for best results. Pacifica Plus can be applied using either a brush or roller.
